She has been writing about pet grooming since 1995, and was awarded the Cardinal Crystal “Pet Grooming Journalist of the Year, 2005 and also 2006. She has written for Pet Age magazine and eGroomer Journal, and has many articles published on the Internet, including her own photojournalistic endeavors at www.GroomBlog.blogspot.com. The GroomBlog won the first Barkleigh Honors Award for Best Blog in 2010 and again in 2012. In writing about communication skills and customer relations, BBird draws upon her previous training and experience as a social worker. She has a unique combination of insight into human nature and more than 30 years of experience running a pet grooming service.
